....Early one morning, before this beach in Hawaii becomes crowded with families, a few young sea turtles come ashore to nap in the warm black sand. I was surprised by how tolerant they were of people, although if children harassed them, they moved back into the surf, where they congregated to graze on the algae clinging to the rocks.
