....I found this little male in the aviary at the Sonoran Desert Museum in Tucson.
With global warming, these birds are expanding their range northward,
and are now year-round residents in Seattle. We have a resident male who claims
our wild fuchsias as his territory, but because he is so feisty in defending it,
we never get to see him perched.
