....There was no other way to capture this in paint than to be on deck outdoors when these magnificent tabular icebergs started floating by our ship. Fortunately, I found a spot on an upper deck, out of the wind, where I could sit next to my palette and paraphrenalia you need to have handy -- water container, brushes, paints, rag, paper block -- not all of it fits in your lap. This berg ended up being a composite of several bergs, because they went by too fast to record individually, but I can still feel the cold when I look at it.
